How would you describe your time at National Institutes of Heal...?
In this position I worked on a Outpatient Day Hospital. We saw just about every patient starting or ending chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation treatments. We would see 70-150 patients a day (not including busy days). Outpatient treatment therapy was also given here under the direction of a primary physician. I was responsible for coordinating the patient visits, answering calls, training other staff members on new automated hospital computer systems, worked on projects for VAD Line training, coordinated pastoral care for patients as well as look good, feel better classes for patients. It was a special time here because I was in a transition from my very first position at NIH. Here, I was able to see the faces, talk with the family, cry when they needed someone to cry with and laugh when they needed cheering up. We were family and we were on a first name basis....
