Responsible for the creation and management of Logistics department for a $100m manufacturer of durable goods. Responsible for activities involved in raw component materials management and transportation management (inbound & outbound). PL&L responsibility for operations and transportation.
Operations activities:
Disengaged 3PL service provider and assumed logistics responsibilities
Management of logistics staff and materials handlers including offsite warehouse and staff
All raw component material management and finished goods shipping
Transportation:
Implemented Transportation Management System
International Inbound - Asia and European sourcing
Domestic Outbound transportation - $10M
Inbound (International and Domestic) $2M
Reduced outbound and inbound transportation spend by 140 and 20 basis points respectively

A history of progressive responsibility and promotions over 8 years. Detail of positions and responsibility available.
Contributions:
* Personally responsible for the preparation and relocation of Baxter's 188,000 thousand square foot I.V. Solution, Renal Service Products, refrigerated Hemophiliac and Frozen Pharmaceutical operation to Baxter's Western Distribution Center, in Ontario, CA. This included maintaining a high state of morale in the face of a facility relocation, as well as logistical preparation. This was accomplished without an interruption in service to customers.
* Increased private fleet shipments by 20% effectively saving $100K in commercial carrier costs.
