Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

Michelle Ballew Safewright. Michelle was one of my employers at Maryville College and she was an amazing influence in my life for several reasons. First and foremost she truly had faith in me and trusted me to make decisions in creating an on-campus organization. She had the faith in me to complete something and she was always willing to provide advice and help me whenever I needed, even when she was extremely busy and overwhelmed. She was one of those people that truly make a difference in your life and you do not fully realize it until after you are done working with them. In this position I worked with the general manager to help open the restaurant including creating server training books, the restaurant floor plan, etc. I also served as a server, host, and expo in the restaurant.
