How would you describe your time at PathFinder Energy Services?
* Developed and commercialized 4 3/4-inch Logging-While-Drilling instrument to measure formation density and porosity. Designed density section of the instrument and wrote algorithm to convert raw count rates to density and formation lithology measurements. Wrote algorithm for instrument calibration. Developed patented method of making neutron measurements.
* Used Monte Carlo simulation code MCNP to simulate gamma ray and neutron instruments.
* Developed correction algorithms for gamma ray and neutron measurements.
* Analyzed field data to resolve inconsistent response of existing instruments. Designed experiments to pinpoint design flaws and for quality control of instrument components.
* Wrote training material on nuclear physics; presented material as lectures in-house and to customers....

How would you describe your time at Laboratory of Elementary Pa...?
* Developed algorithm to identify specific decays of the B meson in order to make a precision statistical measurement of a particle physics parameter. Used fitting methods and detector modeling to extract signal from 27 million events recorded in a 22,000-channel detector. Performed detailed study of systematic errors, reducing largest uncertainty from previous measurement by a factor of 3.
* Overhauled Monte Carlo simulation of scintillation detector, decreasing discrepancy with data by a factor of 10. Developed algorithm to improve resolution of data from this detector.
* Analyzed cosmic ray data to evaluate performance of readout electronics on a prototype wire detector. Optimized final detector design using simulation software....
