How would you describe your time at CVRD?
CVRD privatization in 1997 lead to a complete corporate reorganization and set an aggressive and multinational movement of modernization and expansion in many businesses (besides other M&A movements, CVRD acquired the Canadian INCO in 2006, becoming the world's 2nd largest mining company). The reflex in procurement area can be seen by the year-on-year increasing responsibilities.
The area is living an accelerated learning process targeting higher professionalization, demanding all my accumulated experience, and at the same time, offering the opportunity to take part in important initiatives, negotiating with suppliers' senior executives.
I was recently indicated, in preparation to management roles in a short term, to lead the consolidation of Automation portfolio, being directly responsible for the development of global agreements for the supply of Automation equipment and services, negotiating with HQ executives of Groups like ABB, Siemens, Rockwell, and others....
