How would you describe your time at AT&T Labs?
Assessment and development of client requirements for applications on the AT&T Solutions Intranet and Client facing applications on extranet platforms. Development of Domino applications in support of Process/Knowledge Management, Business/Market Development, and Client Engagement Teams.
Principal Projects
Professional Services/Network Integration Toolkit The Professional Services Opportunity Response Team tracking system (PORT) provides s system to manage potential opportunities. End users are able to submit opportunity information into the system, which triggers email notifications routed to Tier 1 members of the PS team based on various criteria. The opportunity is then tracked as it matures and additional information is gathered, and responsibilities are assigned. Workflow elements are incorporated to ensure that proper information and approvals are gathered, and notifications are sent as the opportunity passes through QA gateways. The system allows users to query and export results into excel for reporting purposes. As opportunities move to contract accepted status, their information becomes available for the Project Setup Tool, which enables the setting up of internal project codes, and the Purchase Order request system, which allows members of an engagement team to request PO's providing specific information relating to the request and tracks the PO requests by status, amounts, requesting groups and other criteria.
MediaTrack The MediaTrack system allows internal analysts to develop summaries of daily news articles dealing with AT&T and the telecommunications industry in general, and collect article summaries into email newsletters, with links to the full source articles on the internal Internet Research Council website.
Application Migrations Principle developer in migration of older applications from 4.53 to 5.0.12 environments.
Asset Management Auction Site This is an extranet site where AT&T Solutions & other business units can offer surplus equipment for auction to a selected vendor market. Assets are packaged and priced in an internal site, which replicates via modem to the external, public site. The site management features allow primary vendor contact to control access for subordinate accounts within their companies, and uses extensive workflow and email notifications as assets move throughout the cycle of pricing, bids, approval, payment and transfer.
Marketing Communication Book of the Quarter Contact Directory The BOQ Directory track allows Executive Support Staff to enter & update information regarding executives of potential client firms and telecommunications industry analysts for mailing of a quarterly publication by written by senior AT&T management. The database incorporates approval cycles and mail notifications of change requests
Client Communications Suite CCS functions primarily as a document management system for Client specific engagement teams to track information from Pre-Contracting through Life Cycle phases of the deal. Features include version control, highly granular security, administrative control cascaded to the individual Team Leader and friendly search capabilities. Additional features include team directories, action item tracking, and project calendars. Designed to be easily customized and rapidly deployed, variations of CCS have been used by over 30 deal teams, including Citicorp, Banc One, IBM/AT&T Global Network Services and Allied Signal.
Solutions Account Planning This database tracks information regarding ATTS clients and potential clients such as relationships between key members of ATTS and the clients, client business needs and action plans. It also acts as a document manager for key reviews. Information is summarized by client, sales/service region, key account leaders and client industry.
Site Information Database SI tracks information regarding client sites that ATTS manages during the transition from contracting to Life Cycle. Information tracked includes network information, location, site contact details, key dates and billing information. The system incorporates change control and approval, and extensive change history on each site tracked.
Service Level Agreement Reporting Deployed via extranet, SLA Reporting uses LotusScript ODBC classes to allow management teams and clients to query a backend database for information regarding ATTS's compliance with Service Level Agreements. The application presents overall performance by category of service compared to agreed upon metrics, numbers of individual trouble tickets per category, individual trouble ticket details, and flags periods in which ATTS falls below service levels.
Status Reporting Deployed via extranet, this application queries an ftp directory for report files generated by back end network management applications. Using scheduled LotusScript, the application imports the files nightly into Notes documents, categorizes them based upon their filenames and allows the client 'self service' access to information regarding security and network performance....
