How would you describe your time at Blind Corners?
At Blind Corners I work in a fast paced office selling window coverings. I am ontime and I dress in a professional manner on a daily basis. My duties working for Blind Corners include, cleaning the Gallery, working with families that come into the Gallery, and making any necessary call backs. Thoughout the day I am required to help families order parts or repairs and I do any needed filing. I have knowledge in using a fax machine, answering multiple phone lines and placing cutomers on hold when necessary. I have to practice good organizational skills, learn and understand the products and operating sysytems. While working at Blind Corners I am expected to be at work in a timely fashion to open the store. Outside the Gallery my duties consist of meeting with families in their home to discuss the product and occasionaly take measurements of the windows to prepare a quote. My computer skills include working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic internet use. I had to learn to use the company's specialty programs to input proposals and booking appointments. My money handeling is done by a Credit Card machine, Check or Cash. An added duty that I perform a few times a year is working at the Home Shows that are located in Yuba City or Sacramento. When all my duties are finished for the day I am required to close the gallery....

How would you describe your time at mervyn's?
As I was working at Mervyns I was taught how to bring out frieght to the floor and organize the displays to fit the new product of clothing. While working at Mervyns my job duties also included handeling the cash register. My other job duty was being in the fitting room to assist customers and bring the clothing they did not want to purchase back out to the floor. I would take over a different department to allow my fellow co-workers to go on their breaks or lunch. When I worked only a four hour shift I would always take the opportunity, if presented, to stay longer for a full day to help if we were short staffed that day. My main goal with working for Mervyns was to keep the customers happy and well taken care of....
