What kind of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job preferably in management but certainly not limited to just that. I believe that on going training and learning are the key so to work for a company that provides training, eduacation, and on the job learning will be an ideal place to be.

I started my management
career at RPS, Inc. (now FedEx Ground) where I managed employees over a 3 year period. I am currently an IT Field Director for the Community College of Allegheny County. Having been in this position for over seven years now my responsibilities for the day to day IT operations has grown to two campuses and three centers. This includes desktop support for over 2,000 desktops, laptops, and hand held devices, telecommunications infrastructure, and software compliancy among many other duties. I currently manage full time, part time and student employees across 5 locations. I am co-managing a budget for all 11 campuses and centers.

I work with many vendors on a continual basis to make sure that the college is keeping up with technology and changes while keeping costs within the budget. I am also on a team that sets standards and procedures for the college pertaining to hardware as well as software. I serve on several project teams at the college including: improving classroom technologies; enhancing distance learning; evaluating and selecting vendor's technology related equipment such as desktops, printers, peripherals, etc. I am responsible for overseeing the upgrade of the colleges communications infrastructure at two of the four main campuses

Project and strategic planning are areas that I spend much of my time. Some of the projects I am responsible for is: creating standard desktop images, hardware & software rollouts, mobile executive laptops, technology in the classrooms, placement testing software, planning, coordinating and managing a LAN infrastructure upgrade; as well as post project follow up and review. As a project leader I must develop concept plans, implementation plans and evaluation plans for each project and monitor their progress from inception to completion. Most of these projects are outlined in our strategic plans which I help create, but many are ad hoc arising as needed from faculty and staff at the college.
