What kind of job are you looking for?
This past spring I completed a bachelor's degree in psychology at Indiana University, Bloomington. I am now interested in pursuing a career in medical research. I feel that my own educational background and my experience in academic, professional, and communal organizations make me well qualified for the above-mentioned position. As my resume indicates, I have extensive experience in different types of medical settings, including laboratory, classroom, and field experiences. For example, while at Indiana University, I served as a research assistant where I helped design, execute, and analyze data in an fMRI study. I also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant where I worked with both the professor and the students one on one in an introduction to psychology course. Additionally I volunteered as a first aider in the Indiana University Emergency Medical Service where I administered first aid to students at university philanthropy events. Moreover, I have valuable experience in roles of leadership in both academic and social environments. While working in the laboratory at Indiana University, I learned the importance of dedication and organization when working both independently and in a group. Likewise, while serving as a program director and unit head for Camp Ben Frankel in Carbondale, Illinois I gained valuable experience in creating and executing projects I created. Through all of my diverse experiences, I have learned how to handle different types of people and different projects at one time. The positions outlined above and in my resume demonstrate my ability to work in both laboratory and non-laboratory environments. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications for the position. I feel that my own education and professional experience give me a background that would allow me to perform and thrive in required tasks....
