What advice do you have for someone who wants a job like yours?

To be a successful freelance programmer, you'll want to hone these skills:
- Programming skills - pick a language/technology/etc. and get really good at it
- Communication skills - a lot of programmers think they won't have to talk to people, but they are wrong! Oral and written communication
is a key part of our business (even if you aren't freelancing)
- Organization skills - effective programmers know how to manage their time and keep track of the details.
- Marketing skills - if you want to be a successful freelancer, knowing how to market yourself will help!
