How would you describe your time at TLC Supported Living Services?

Direct Care: To assist consumers in performing the functions of daily living with as much independence as possible. To guide consumers to be self-directed by teaching consumers decision making skills and encouraging independence as defined in each person's Personal Support/Habilitation Plan. To provide assistance in a manner that supports the personal dignity of the consumers.
As Team Lead, I was not only responsible for Direct Care, but also: To ensure the consumer's programs are run properly. Train other Staff as necessary. Ensure that TLC policy and procedures are followed, understand and report all offenses that are of a serious nature immediately, report any maintenance issues, and make sure that all necessary documentation is completed properly.
My duties additionally included: Ordering medications and supplies. I was responsible for the menus, grocery shopping, activity calendars, time sheets for all staff assigned to the house, van maintenance, and emergency evacuation drills. I also attended medical appointments and ISP meetings with DDD.
