What was your first job?
Lifeguard. I was 15 years old, the youngest on staff, and SO excited. It's the best job I can think of for a teenager to have. I continued to Lifeguard at the same pool, for the next 4 summers, teaching swim lessons, working 40+ hours a week, and eventually becoming Assistant Manager at the age of 18....

How would you describe your time at Sanctuary Real Estate?
An up and coming boutique real estate firm. Excellent marketing and managment. Mostly due to the state of the current real estate market, I have been unable to spread my wings here and succeed. It has encouraged me to seek out other passions...

How would you describe your time at Century21-dwellings?
A once small and treasured firm, that was bought out, taken into the wrong direction, and run into the ground very quickly. I enjoyed my time there while it lasted, and was awarded: "Rookie of the year" for my office.

How would you describe your time at Abercrombie & Fitch?
I excelled quickly through my ability to prioritize and see "the big picture." I was promoted 5 times in 4 years, ran 4 stores in 2 states, my last store being: Mall of Georgia. It grossed over $10 million, had over 130 employs which included models, stockroom, assistant managers, and managers-in-training. I recruited, hired, and trained all of my employs.
After almost two years in retail, I realized it was not what I wanted to pursue long-term, and quit. I look fondly on my time and accomplishments with the company....

How would you describe your time at Erskine Bowles for U.S. Senate?
I absolutely loved working on this campaign. I totally engulfed myself in every project or task thrown my way. Erskine is an amazing man, and I strongly believed in his message. I felt that by working hard to get him elected, that I was working hard to change the world for the better. I happily did ad buys, went to the bank, the post office, made phone calls, worked fundraisers, planned bus tours, travelled on bus tours, would wake up at 5am to deliver a banner to an event 3 hours away, and stay up late managing volunteers at the phone bank. Made no money what-so-ever and loved every second of it. Unfortunately, we lost, and my dreams of working on The Hill died with it... Abercrombie gobbled me up before I could pursue any other political aspirations....

How would you describe your time at International Living Magazine?
More than anything this was a cultural experience for me. I was interning and living in the heart of Paris, France and traveling around Europe on the weekends. I was the Paris-based Editor's right hand woman. I fetched her coffee, made copies for her, and did the majority of her research. I more enjoyed the experience than the job, but wouldn't trade it for the world!...

How would you describe your time at Appalachian State University?
In college I really learned the meaning of time management. I took my studies very seriously, as well as my involvement in school activities. I was lucky enough to find a balance between both, and a social life early enough in my college career that I feel I was able to excel in all areas.

How would you describe your time at The University of Dayton?
It was everything I was looking for: a good 8 hours away from where I grew up, small but not too small, and I wasn't going to know a soul. Sometimes we have false perceptions of what we really want. By Christmas break I was ready to transfer back closer to home.
I actually ended up having a very memorable and exciting time my second semester, and probably wouldn't have transfered if my first had resembled it. I really enjoyed the theatre program, as well as the radio station which I worked at twice a week as a DJ....
