Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

Probably my eighth grade science teacher Mrs. Porter. She truly had a gift for teaching and reaching young people. She had the ability to connect with all of her students, which is something for an adult to do is pretty amazing. I hope to have at least a piece of her true teaching ability.

I was the promotions intern for the Director of Promotions for the Shock. It was a very interesting time to work within the organization due to the period of transition the franchise was in. It was rumored the owner would either sell or simply fold the team. Since my departure from the organization, the Shock have won two WNBA titles and have become a perennial powerhouse within the league.
