How would you describe your time at Barnegat School District?
Subbing in Barnegat has been the best working experience of my life. The faculty and administration have been helpful, positive, and encouraging all along. The best part has been the ability to do actual teaching in the classroom with students. A lot of the time, sadly, subbing involves handing out a ditto or turning on a DVD. In Barnegat, I am expected to continue the teacher's plans and work. I couldn't be happier doing so....

How would you describe your time at Pinelands Regional School D...?
I started working at Pinelands because I had a strong desire to step out of my comfort zone and try working in a different district from the one I attended high school. My time at Pinelands was brief because of academic obligations, which made it easier for me to just stick with Southern Regional.

How would you describe your time at Southern Regional School Di...?
My years at Southern Regional have been very productive. I have learned a lot about teaching and education in general. When I began, my primary goal was to gain skills in dealing with students of varying levels and ages; I am very satisfied with how I have been able to do that at Southern.

How would you describe your time at Manahawkin Nursing & Rehab?
My time as a Dietary Assistant was both a blessing and very troubling. I became very close to a lot of the residents and got involved with making sure their lives were comfortable and fruitful not just in things related to their diets. Perhaps at times I got too involved, which lead to a lot of sad situations, as can be expected in a venue like that one.
While working there I also reworked our training manual and day to day plans to update them for the current time period. I mentored and trained numerous coworkers and also assisted with scheduling and orders....

How would you describe your time at Monmouth University?
I went to graduate school in order to temper my scholarly writing skills further and gain advanced knowledge of literary theory. While at Monmouth, I have been able to work towards both goals while also gaining other skills which will help me to be successful in whatever path my career takes.
At Monmouth, I have also organized two symposiums for our graduate program. This involved scheduling, presenting, and acting as a liaison between faculty, graduate students, and the larger university community.
My MA thesis is on the role of electronic literature in contemporary literary studies. I will be defending in May of 2009....

How would you describe your time at The Richard Stockton Colleg...?
My time at Stockton was my happiest and most productive. I started planning to double major in Philosophy and Literature, but then switched to just Literature with a minor in Philosophy.
While at Stockton I became interested in New Media, especially electronic literature. I wrote a draft of War Prayers, my first hypertext novel in the fall of 2004....

How would you describe your time at Ocean County College?
My time at Ocean County College was primarily spent getting accustomed to college life and putting together and organizing my life as I prepared to be an adult. I had some struggles, but in the long run my tough breaks and failures made me a better student, academic, and person.
