What path did you take to your current career?
I studied English in college with minors in creative writing and philosophy, which I thought was going to mean getting a job would be difficult. When I first graduated, I moved to a new state and got the first job I could find: a Kinko's job. After only a few months there, I got an entry-level writing/data entry job at a dot-com company. During my time there, I worked my way up to Senior Content Editor, eventually leading a small staff for our Editorial Manager. The dot-com crashed and for my next job, I went again for a stable, entry-level job in a mailroom that traded on my Kinko's experience. From there, I've worked my way up to Director of Mailing Services, overseeing a small staff. I've always worked my way up wherever I've been, learning quickly and taking responsibility....
