How would you describe your time at Digital Motorworks?

Senior member of the QA department responsible for evaluation of product software used by the client groups.

* Increased client satisfaction by evaluating requirements and implementing test cases which eliminated 2000 potential issues in production software. This attention to detail enabled
me to report twice as many issues as any other QA member.

* Improved testing rigor and regression capabilities by employing Oracle SQL, TOAD and Linux scripting to support running and evaluation of manual tests. Created automated tests as appropriate. Employed both Black Box and White Box testing techniques.

* Timely, on-schedule delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment. Quickly came up to speed to test requirements, implementations, and documentation for projects with relatively short release cycles.

* Enhanced the issue detection rate through teamwork and communication skills. Interfaced with business analysts, developers, documenters and other QA members to identify issues in all software and documentation deliverables.

* Ensured traceability by reporting, updating, and verifying problems using the Jira and ClearQuest issue tracking systems.

* Designed and developed engineering defect and call-support tracking system using Magic Help Desk software provided by Network Associates.
Maintained and upgraded this application and the backend SQL Server database.

* Designed, implemented and maintained the automated testing tool used on Linux and Windows systems. This was an invaluable tool for daily and pre-release regression testing. Updated and maintained the automated build scripts for all platforms.

* Implemented scripts, InstallShield Express specifications, and RPM specifications for packaging software products and source code collections for clients and partners on both Windows and Linux systems. Rigorous configuration management practices in a CVS environment.

environment. Communicated with product coordinators, the QA department, and engineering to identify and address existing concerns with the product.

* Achieved/maintained data consistency as the Sybase database administrator. Implemented and modified database tables, triggers, procedures, and views to support the application and improve performance.

* Increased user satisfaction through client application development and upgrades.

Senior Project Engineer, Software Development

Application software development, maintenance, testing, and documentation. Several years of mixed language (primarily C and FORTRAN) programming on Windows NT, and UNIX systems.
