What advice do you have for someone looking for their first job out of college?
In an interview, show your chops - it's ok to be wrong or a little naive, but it's not ok to seem like you have no point of view or can't think through problems (don't get intimidated). That doesn't mean it's ok to flaunt your opinions (it's not): you can be thoughtful without being self-important.
In actually accepting a job, don't forget to think about how the job you're interested in now will be perceived by another potential employer down the road: it's really hard to leap from something anonymous to something high-profile, so always think about how each thing you're doing is setting up future success. And finally, don't be discouraged if it takes a while -- if you're holding out for a particular company or industry, life can be hard...but if you can bear it, it will be more worthwhile in the end than just taking what comes along....
