What path did you take to your current career?

I had no idea that I would become a recruiter. I was a Communications major at Virginia Tech, concentrating in Public Relations. I was able to get an internship with a lobbying firm in DC which allowed me to gain a great deal of experience with politicians, but it wasn't quite what I wanted to do "in the real world." I sent my resume out and posted it on all the job boards and gave myself a two week deadline. My internship was over on a Friday and I started interviewing that Monday. I literally took my first job as a recruiter because my 2 weeks was coming to a close and I needed to make some money! I quickly feel in love with recruiting. It's so exhilirating and exciting! It keeps me on my toes and allows me to do my favorite thing- talk to people from all over the country and try to help them!
