How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?
I've been a provider and developer of business Internet services and solutions most of my life, since 1977 actually.
I have a long, extensive list of accomplishments, was one of the first four ISPs in the Los Angeles area, Developed , published, and distributed one of the very first GNU/Linux distributions commercially available (Linboard Linux), and have made a career of seeing opportunities for solutions, instead of problems.
I've tackled many dream jobs, but one of the most interesting would probably have to have been the "Design Center", at Mattel, Corporation in El Segundo, California.
I really wasn't prepared, as a geek, for the casual, creative, and jubilant atmosphere there; I had no idea that making toys was such a serious and prideful business.
Everyone truly enjoyed their mission there.
Perhaps one of the gloomiest places I've worked was Disney Studios, although I was never really able to quite put my finger on just why, but it certainly wasn't a very happy place like Disneyland is.
My dream job has always been an organization where bleeding edge technology is exploited for all it has to offer, while maintaining a stable environment for the users.
I love problem solving and even more so, a smooth running network delivering content and services to the end user.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my particular skill sets or experience, as I will be happy to address them with enthusiasm, a bit of wit, and perhaps some nostalgia as well.
Kindest regards,
