How would you describe your time at University of Illinois (Urb...?
I really enjoy my work at the University. It's a perfect mix of desk work and actually getting out and walking to classrooms for anything from AV system issues to alarm calls. While at the University I've been responsible for tending to instructors needs or questions on media systems, AV system installation and diagnosis, Alarm system installation and diagnosis, and also electronics repair such as projectors, and televisions. I would not say I'm proficient in the repair yet, but I'm learning and taking steps to become better. I intend to further hone my skills in electronics repair and to also further my programming knowledge on the systems that we install....

How would you describe your time at Frasca Int.?
Frasca was a great learning experience. I worked here while attending Parkland College for my Electronic Control Systems Degree. I trained for a few months on cable assembly, electronics test, repair down to circuit board level, and in mechanical assembly. After training I worked on the floor building from engineers drawings flight simulators. After building I would go over, label test and troubleshoot any items that were not working as they should. I used in house programs to monitor and test all of the different switches and controls watching inbit, outbit and analog voltage changes to ensure all controls met specifications. I also was responsible for taking pictures and entering build notes into our database to decrease production time in the future....

How would you describe your time at circuit city stores?
At Circuit City I learned a good sum about sales and installation techniques. I mastered these and worked my way up through the company starting out as general sales and ending up as a Sales and Installation Manager. As a manager I was trusted with the companies money, opening and closing the store, managing my personal P&L, hiring, training, coaching, and terminating employees. I also gained a sharp eye for proper merchandising and enjoyed tinkering with displays and POP to help bring things to our customers attention. I even won a regional award for best Sirius sattelite radio "lemonade stand" which I used outside of the store to help boost our satellite radio numbers. Circuit City was a rewarding experience, but unfortunately the company came under rough times and decided to eliminate the Sales and Installation Mgr. position terminating with severance close to 600 positions....
