What was your most bizarre interview experience like?
This wasn't actually an interview, but I had two amusing experiences while talking to a career counselor recently.
First she had a poor impression of me because I didn't bring in a hardcopy of my resume (almost all of my networking is done via LinkedIn, so I seldom use my real resume, and when I do it is virtually always in electronic form), so she was treating me like I was some kind of idiot. I gave her the URL to the Word version of my resume on my website, and in the process noticed that the bar across the top of her browser said something like "Internet Filtering provided by N2H2..." When I pointed out that N2H2 was the company I co-founded and helped take public she wasn't sure what to make of me.
So then she was doing the hard sell on a specific job search site (indeed.com). So she put in "CTO in Seattle" and the only position that showed up was the one I had just left.
All in all, not the most productive meeting I've had......
