My first job was a paper round, followed by a Saturday job in a shoe shop when I was 15 and the hourly wage was ??1.15. Washing dishes in a cafe whilst simulataneously gaining my 'stars' at McDonald's ensued. However my first job where I purchased a professional suit was straight after University. Before I graduated I was lucky enough to gain a position as an 'International Marketing Executive' (oh er) for a firm named Ulster Weavers, working in New York City. An amazing seven months followed. A great first job and a great city!. The view from my office window was the Empire State Building....I doubt I will ever top that one!...
