How would you describe your time at Neil Johnson Photography?
I really enjoyed working with Neil, he's one of the nicest photographers I've ever assisted for. We had good communication and worked well together. I only left the studio because I didn't like Louisianna and decided to come back to California.

How would you describe your time at Freelance / Self employed?
I enjoy wearing lots of different career "hats", it never gets boring. The amazing thing with digital is that graphic design, photography, and art are all intersected. I can offer a full range of services to my clients from taking the photograph, to retouching the photograph, to laying out the design and placing the photograph. I've designed advertisments, books, posters, logos, menus, postcards and a variety of other promotional materials for medium to small businesses....

How would you describe your time at AlphaGraphics?
This was the first graphic design job I had and I learned vast amounts about layout, client communication, rastor image processing, color separations, and computer issues. It was a fast paced, high intensity position that required good trouble-shooting skills, because you were dealing with the general public and all different types of files and projects all at the same time. I had to be super adaptable. I left the job due to the negative environment some office politics were creating....

How would you describe your time at Krug Litho Art?
I enjoyed working with clients while their projects were being completed. I learned more about client relations, digital archiving, computer processes and maintenance, and pre-press processes. Ultimately, the company fell on financial hardship and my department was laid-off indefinitely.

I learned vast amounts of technical knowledge and skill about photography and lighting. I also found and became very passionate about Photoshop. I tried to learn everything I could about digital imaging and became a teaching assistant and student tutor in Photoshop.

How would you describe your time at Penn Valley community college?
I was trying to work full-time at a mental health facitlity but hated my job and really wanted to learn more about graphic design and art. Night classes at community college were the only way to get closer to the kind of creative career I really wanted.

How would you describe your time at University of Missouri Kans...?
I was unsure about what career I really wanted, but I had an interest in helping people with depression. Then, I took a photography course and everything changed.
I didn't change my major, but took all the photography courses the school offered.
