What kind of job are you looking for?
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Jon Stollery. This is an interesting time for me as I am switching career paths. Although I have been in the Food Service Industry for some time now, I do not believe it will be a difficult transition into the field of information technology. I have been using computers and electronic equipment for most of my life, and I believe that this path is much more suited to my abilities. In jobs such as the computer lab assistant at Johnson & Wales and as a customer service and sales associate at Sur la Table, I have displayed great potential towards being a highly skilled employee in the IT field. In high school, I took several computer programming courses and after graduating attended North Carolina State University to pursue a BS in Computer Science. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the program due to personal reasons, but I still have a great interest in working with computers and I believe your corporation would benefit from my input.
I have been working in the food service industry for over six years. Because I greatly enjoyed this field, I decided to continue my education. I am currently a senior at Johnson & Wales University here in Charlotte and I have already received an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts; I am now working on a Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management.
I possess many skills that would become assets to you such as my determined work ethic and my ability to learn quickly and adapt to quickly changing situations. I am also fairly proficient in communicating in French and Spanish. I am honest and dedicated as well.
I look forward to meeting you in person so I may fully display to you all that I have to offer to your organization. You may contact me anytime at (704) 408-8003. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and understanding the place that I am in in my career right now.
Sincerely,
Jon Stollery...
