What kind of job are you looking for?

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Melissa Zimmerman and I'm a recent graduate of Winona State University (WSU). As the only female Computer Science student in my class at WSU, I not only completed a Computer Science Major but a Mathematics Major as well, in a 3-1/2 year time frame. In addition to my rigorous course load and extra curriculum, I held several jobs while working my way through college. I am a hard worker and strive to do my best at everything I do.
I am actively seeking a full time position that will utilize the skills I obtained through my college education, and at the same time allow me to obtain a career in my field of my expertise. I work well in a team environment and am a motivated individual when expected to complete a project on my own, as well. As my resume shows, I have a vast knowledge of many different types of software and am well versed in advanced computer skills. I am also familiar with the life cycle of software and exhibit knowledge in the development and testing of software. Ideally, I would like to obtain a position in Web Development or Web Applications Programming. I am well versed in the inter- and intra- nets.
While attending college I was employed at the Technical Support Center at WSU which allowed me to put an emphasis on troubleshooting software problems, teaching software, maintaining excellent customer skills, working in a team environment, and enhancing my abilities to quickly adapt to any situation. In addition, I pride myself on my ability to relate technical information at a level my customer understands.
In addition to my position at the WSU Technical Support Center, I completed a three month Internship at Mayo Clinic with the Mayo Health System Administration Web Development Team. This Internship not only enhanced my current skills, but taught me many new ones, as well. It was both rewarding and enriching while allowing me to grow in knowledge at the same time.
I consider my most recent employment as a Data Management Analyst for Mayo Clinic Health Solutions as a stepping stone in my career, presently allowing me the opportunity to actively seek a more challenging role in my field of expertise. Utilizing my education to the best of my ability is very important to me and for this reason I am excited to apply for this position.
I am confident in my skills and abilities and would welcome the opportunity for full time employment at your company. I thank you in advance for considering me for this position and am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Melissa Zimmerman 2825 19th Ave NW Apt B Rochester, MN 55901 Phone: (507) 696-1960 lyssalynn13@gmail.com...
