How would you describe your time at Canaveral Port Authority?
In addition to being rewarding, my time at the Canaveral Port Authority has been challenging and has offered immeasurable opportunitites for development, both personally and professionally. While at the Port, my job has grown to encompass a wide range of responsibilites, including but not limited to the following:
Brand Manager - manage the Port Canaveral brand and act as gatekeeper to retain the integrity and ensure the proper use of the logo and image of the company; facilitate brand training classes for all employees, includes reinforcing the mission, standards and expectations and customer service coaching; create and standardize all communication tools, forms and collateral that represent the company.
Event Coordinator - plan, organize, and execute company-sponsored events and functions, includes working with caterers, decorators, rental companies, florists, entertainment, photographers, etc., selecting venue, determining the layout and look of the event, designing/creating invitations and other collateral, and selecting promotional items, maintaining invitation, contact, and RSVP lists; work as liaison between the company and organizations planning events at Port Canaveral; facilitate and process all event requests; give direction to organizations regarding their event(s); work with internal departments and outside agencies to evaluate each event and arrange support services (law enforcement, security, fire/rescue, etc.), if necessary, to ensure public safety and to reduce the risk of liability.
Graphic Designer - design and create multi-media materials and branded collateral; design and create cards, invitations, flyers, certificates, awards, event materials, and promotional items to promote Port Canaveral and raise public awareness of the brand.
Information Officer - write, edit, illustrate and distribute the monthly employee newsletter; disseminate news coverage compiled from varied sources, including internet, radio, television broadcast, print media, trade papers and periodicals regarding industry trends, developments, and issues related to or affecting the Port on a daily basis to senior management, commissioners, and staff.
General - clerical duties, correspondence, make and distribute press kits, order supplies, maintain and update databases, manage inventory records....

How would you describe your time at J & J Carpet One?
Although only there a year, my time at J & J allowed me, among other things, to expand and hone my clerical, analytical, and accounting abilities, while managing multiple million dollar contracts with large development firms both in and out of the area. My duties at J & J included, but were not limited to:
Created and processed bid proposals.
Registered all new clients.
Performed data entry and clerical duties.
Accurately maintained all business records (i.e. accounts payable and receivable, current and past sale contracts, and reference materials).
Developed layouts and tracked all commercial accounts.
Single-handedly billed out for mulitple multi-million dollar construction projects, while ensuring that sub-contractors were paid in an accurate and timely manner.
Coached sales staff on customer service, resolving customer service issues, and internal conflict resolution.
Maintained all residential, government, and commercial accounts.
Handled all matters of billing and collection.
Advised senior management on issues of policy, advertising, and assortment.
Created an electronic client database.
Created promotional and sale collateral to reflect a cohesive and branded look to advertisements and anything else representing the company.

Working for Burdine's was an invaluable experience that taught me so much about developing and maintaining a winning staff, identifying and capitalizing on market trends, providing exceptional customer service, setting and exceeding goals, effective and proactive conflict resolution and so much more, including but not limited to the following:
Was responsible for driving multiple businesses and maintaining high levels of professionalism and productivity among a staff of up to 15 associates in a goal-oriented environment.
