What kind of job are you looking for?

I would like to find a position in either entry-level GIS for forestry, land management, or environmental services of any kind. I also would be effective in a training or mentoring program for an organization, private or governmental, that works with the environment with an emphasis on research for sustainable land use. I also have much experience working in hospitality, I would absolutely consider a position as a front desk clerk or concierge for a hotel or resort. I have experience in both corporate hotels and boutique properties. I am very well-suited for a customer relations position and love the work. My experience in education as a private tutor, a Montessori teacher, and a personal nanny also makes me an ideal candidate for a tutoring or child-care posting.... read more

How would you describe your time at Morris Tutoring?

As Front Office Assistant, I schedule clients by matching them with a tutor that will fit their individual needs. This is a complicated task involving up to 18 tutors with limited availability and 90 students who have multiple extra-curricular activities to consider. In this capacity, I am also responsible for general clerical duties including light bookkeeping, account reconciliation, billing, and the familiarization with and organization of educational resources and materials.
In the role of tutor, I offer individualized educational assistance to students with varying needs and learning abilities. My work is focused on math and science for college-bound students, but I also work with motivated special needs students who wish to improve their life skills through better learning. Test preparation skills are another area I focus on. I assist students in learning how to take specific types of standardized tests for preparatory academies and colleges. Finally, this portion of my job includes lesson-plan development for each of my students. This task requires the ability to quickly assess the needs of the student, their level of commitment

How would you describe your time at phoenix college?

My experience at Phoenix College has been simply to further my education in whatever field of interest that I choose to study at the time. I have to admit that due to outside circumstances and inner personality traits, I am not well-suited for the traditional educational experience. I have to much curiosity and am interested in too many subjects to choose a spcific sourse of study. This has made my ability to graduate with a Bachelor's degree difficult. My major class selections at this school have been in math and science. I am also getting my GIS certification in June of 2008.... read more
