* Project support and trouble-management of AceMAP DSLAM switch which also transports Vo/IP (SIP), ATM/IMA, Frame Relay to ATM protocols (FRATM). Executed technical designs along with documenting scope of work for 24 x 7 research & development.
* Product support in lab environment managing
test case scenarios & on-call engineering schedule(s), along with providing problem resolution for Covad's Network Operation Center (NOC) for network outages. Logging & documenting those trouble reports related to switch, protocol, Layer II/III issues along with RMA'ing card defects and managing its supply chain for replacements. Writing executive level reports regarding outages for more complex issues involving Tier III support.

* Weekly conference calls updating processes related to field issues and best practices to resolution involving PSTN to LPVA and/or LPVA to LPVA calls when CPE has issues with ie: no-dial tone, static, one-way conversations, etc. in order to meet Covad's MTTR and SLA agreements with EarthLink- the ISP/reseller.

* Manage/Configure Redback, Juniper & Cisco routers in response to triage & proactive alarms- SMAARTS, Webtool & Netcool. Oversee status of rip-and-rebuild of IP blocks; DSL/Dial-up outages; PPPOX, stickey (radius) & dedicated IP authentications problems. Outages involving VoIP call features, unified messaging & soft-switch(s) using hosted IP telephony & layer II protocols.
* Direct management tasks to ensure timely and appropriate network/system change activities. Oversee the utilization of change management tools to coordinate software, hardware, and configuration changes with inter- and intra-departmental personnel.
* Provide managerial and technical training opportunities, provides input into performance ratings, and counsels team members on performance issues. Manage projects to ensure timely completion, efficient use of resources, and appropriate technology to meet customer requirements. Direct administrative functions for the workgroup. Participates in various process improvement efforts utilizing statistical methods to validate results.

* Responsible for managing LD (Long Distance) personnel of eight (8) Systems Technicians that are responsible for maintaining "the view of the network" via NetCool alarm filter & network elements. Responsible include Data Integrity efforts for supporting various business organizations, documentation of NOC processes, risk analysis, quality management, remediation of outages, giving post mortem documentation and coordinating special projects.
