My mother and my grandmother. My mother raised my by herself. When the Soviet Union was collapsing and she lost her job, she was strong enough to start her own business, which led to the real estate business she owns now. My grandmother grew up in the village by herself. Her parents died when she was 5. She took care of the household, the farm, along with the cattle. Because of much work she didn't finish secondary school, but she was on of the first to get a BA degree without having the secondary education. She then became the professor at the top Mathematics University in Kazakhstan. Simultaneously, she had 2 other jobs to support her family of 7. Her husband died when she was 36, her youngest (the 6th) child being only 2, and my mother being only 7. She is a very strong woman and she still plays a major role in our family's business. I would be lucky to have even 10% of her personality....
