What kind of job are you looking for?
I am currently working for the Mississippi Army National Guard which I have been a part of for the last 25 years. I have a wonderful career and have spent the majority of my time in the logistics area. I would like to find a position that would benefit from the diverse training that I have received while working for the government. I have a job that I could remain in and work until my retirement age. I feel that I have done my best to serve the military community over the years, but I would like to pusue other work as a civilian working for the military or similar company....

How would you describe your time at Directorate of Logistics - ...?
I serve in a State Surface Maintenance directorate providing technical maintenance instruction and oversight to (22) Army maintenance facilities that employ approximately (396) full-time personnel. I am the initial POC for maintenance assistance and readiness issues concerning all tactical, non-tactical and engineer equipment belonging to Mississippi. Gather information and coordinate repair/rebuild of major end items at appropriate depots. Disseminate Safety of Use messages (SOUM) to maintenance activities and ensure proper reporting of corrective actions. Correspond on a daily basis with activity supervisors and unit commanders in resolving issues such as: equipment repair problems, special tools and equipment needs, supply document discrepancies, maintenance training requirements and maintenance shop procedures. Develop Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) for out of state equipment maintained at our Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site (MATES). Review and update maintenance regulations, policy memorandums, monthly newsletters and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP). Develop inspection checklists and lead team members conducting compliance inspections of maintenance facilities in areas such as; Equipment Maintenance Procedures, Maintenance Shop Operations, Modification Work Order compliance, Tool/Special tool usage, Safety Program, Environmental Compliance, Physical Security, employee training, Command Supply Discipline, maintenance work plans and man-hour accountability. Conduct hands-on instruction and assistance to Army personnel in areas such as equipment scheduled maintenance/repair procedures, maintenance management, ETM usage, MTOE/TDA, PLL management, calibration procedures, Sets Kits and Outfits (SKO), Modification Work Orders (MWO), Safety of Use Message (SOUM), Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAM), supply accountability and procurement of equipment. Coordinate New Equipment Training (NET). Work with numerous directorates and commands to resolve issues affecting maintenance programs. Review work performance reports and initiate corrective actions to enhance equipment readiness. While performing my logistics duties, I utilize several automated systems such as: Standard Property Book System (SPBS-R), Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS-S4/Supply), (ULLS-G/Maintenance), LIDB, LOGSA, ETM, AEPS, GKO, SARSS-2, EXCEL, WORD, and POWERPOINT. Develop and present hands-on maintenance training sessions for unit commanders, supply and maintenance personnel. Ensure units and facilities maintain proper maintenance on equipment in accordance with published guidance. Develop presentations and information papers pertaining to maintenance operations and present them at Logistics and Commander's conferences....

How would you describe your time at Organizational Maintenance ...?
I serviced/repaired Army equipment while working as an Automotive Mechanic in an Organizational Maintenance facility that supported (14) Army units. My duties included: Servicing, repairing, diagnosing and maintaining all tactical, non-tactical, engineer and commercial equipment belonging to several military units. I also served as the Maintenance SGT in a battalion headquarters company maintaining approximately eighty pieces of equipment and supervising eight maintenance section personnel. Maintained document registers, audit trails and financial information on items requested. Responsible for The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) which includes duties such as: maintaining historical information on vehicles and equipment supported, ensuring that equipment was maintained to Army standards and tracking equipment mission readiness. My additional duties included: Hazardous waste coordinator, assistant physical security officer, safety officer, government purchase card holder, tool room custodian and calibration coordinator....

How would you describe your time at Military Experience - ARMY?
My military service began with MOS (13E) in a Fire Direction Center (FDC) serving in field artillery units in Mississippi and California. In 1986 I was hired as a full-time maintenance technician and assigned to a Military Police Battalion. I served in several Military Occupational Specialties including (92Y) Supply NCO, (88M) Support Section NCO and (63B) Maintenance NCO. While with the Military Police Battalion I Served during Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and IRAQ. This duty lasted for approximately (9) months. In 1998 I was selected for a position in the Directorate of Logistics office in Mississippi. I transferred to HQ, STARC MSARNG where I serve currently as an Equipment Specialist NCO. The following are examples of the duties I have performed within this section: Support Mississippi Brigade rotation to the National Training Center (NTC), maintenance training supporting Mississippi infantry deploying to Bosnia, logistics training presented to Mississippi Brigade officers, senior NCOs and unit maintenance section personnel, Served on state active duty supporting logistics during emergency operations such as hurricanes and floods, conducted evaluations of unit logistics while serving as a member of the states MAIT team.
NOTE: I have received my National Guard retirement letter and I am retiring from military service....
