How would you describe your time at Vanderbilt University?
This could be a vague or loaded question depending on how you look at it, either way I will answer it to the best of my ability.
In my college career, due to financial aid requirements I worked a lot, gaining a lot of experience in various departments on campus. Through those experiences, I developed strong relationships with faculty, my peers and interacted with my potential peers (through my work at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions).
Academically I struggled, but I persevered. I learned a lot about myself during this process of trial and error and although it was not an easy road, I will be completing my studies in December.
Socially, I was very involved on campus with various organizations. I was more heavily involved at different points in my academic career, but always involved in some way. I had fun in these organizations and on my own, but I definitely feel as though I could have enjoyed my social experiences more, through taking advantage of what the city has to offer and programs like study abroad on campus. I do not believe that it is ever too late, so I am exploring Nashville this semester since I have a lighter work load, and once I start working, I plan to do a little traveling as finances permit....
