How would you describe your time at Voice Signal Technologies?

??? Responsible for performance, security and maintenance of two email
servers, 4 file Servers, 3 firewalls, 8 routers, 5 web servers, 4 databases, 8
internal and remote networks on 3 offices in Korea, China and here in the
USA, VPN server for 120 users, a 80 node BEOWOLF Cluster super computer.
??? Security: Monitor and analyze network performance and security with
diverse networking tools and shell scripts that I wrote, Build Firewalls and
add custom rules on a weekly basis depending on new threats, monitor
internal lan and users so our information is not licked outside to our
competition, ensure company IT and general policies and most important
keep our network intruders and succeed attacks free.
??? Support: I started in this company as the only IT persona I was a tech
support, network administrator and systems administrator, when we grow
we hired two guys to work for me, a windows tech support for our bussines
departments and a Linux support tech for our researchers and software
engineers since they use GNU/Linux, this free me to do what I do best,
networking and security, at the moment I am level 2 support, when the first
level don't know how to resolve an issue or needs help then the ticket
comes to me.
??? Networking: Support, Build, Pucharse and install cables cat5e/cat6, Cisco
and Linux routers, Switches and other network devices like 802.11 wireless
and Ethernet 100/1000 networks, VPN, remote login, monitor bandwidth,
design new networks to improve capacity and communication inside the
company lan all over the world.
??? Tools and OS: Apache, Iptables, Openvpn, Snort, SnortSam, Acid, Mrtg,
Postfix, Amavis, Courrier-Imap, Debian GNU/Linux, Gentoo GNU/Linux, Suse
OpenExchange, Suse 8.1, Nmap. TcpDump, Jack the Ripper, Cracker Jack,

??? Extra and miscellaneous: I build a GNU/Linux OS based on Debian potato
and later Woodie, for our company needs with cluster improvement and nfs
in mind with some custom in house made research and engineering tools,
and strip non-needed software, I programmed in C some of our firewall
plugins to auto detect and stop malicious attacks like a simple DOS. Support
a network of 100 users in our USA office and 30 users around the world.
Windows and GNU/Linux installations, lately we build our internal user Linux
desktop on Gentoo with a custom install image and script to speed the
procedure and have everyone with the same system. I installed most of our
100 Desktops, 2/3 of them GNU/Linux with gentoo or debian and the rest
with Windows XP.
??? Recenctly sucesfully migrated cluster of computing nodes from Debian with
openPBS to SunGrid(SGE) under a custom Gentoo GNU/Linux solution.
??? Help migrate and reorganize server room cables and configure two T1s
incoming to our border line cisco router, reconfigure firewall rules on our
Gentoo GNU/Linux firewall and reasing IP's
