I like work that consists of a series of projects; you work hard on each one and take a day or two off at the end before beginning the next project. Or you have more
than one project going on at the same time. I am good at getting things done, whether by using the technology available on my desktop or by liaising among different stakeholders all working toward a common goal. I can organize work--timetables, costs, staffing needs, resource needs--and get it done by deadline, including detailed work such as responding to data requests. While I prefer working with a diverse group of intelligent, broad-minded people, I can also work on my own from home. Once I've learned what I need to know, I do best with minimal supervision. I tend to be happiest in uncertain circumstances where there's a lot of ambiguity, growth, and change--where things are evolving. Globalization at its best--you work from your own home, using state of the art equipment they provide and state of the art technologies that enable you to communicate real-time with people on the other side of the world. But you can get laid off even if the company is doing well--they are always reorganizing jobs away from high-cost parts of the world to less expensive parts of the world, all within the company.... read more
