Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?
The first boss I ever had. She started her "job" by answering phones for the company. She began her "career" almost immediately when she realized that there was work to be done and the company was short on staff. She started picking up files and making sales and service calls. She is now the vice-president of this company. I was impressed by her initiative and drive. She was an inspiration in more ways than one. She taught herself from A to Z and knew the company inside and out. She taught me everything she knew. I was grateful for my four years with her as my mentor. If it hadn't been for her I would not be where I am in my career. I also learned the true meaning of an effective manager and a good boss through this experience....
