Teacher/Reading First Intervention Teacher
How would you describe your time at Detroit Public Schools?
From August 1998 until December 2006, I worked as a Language Arts/Social Sciences teacher for 1st through 6th grades. In the Spring of 2007, I was hired as a Reading First Intervention Teacher. This position involves intensive and strategic work with students who are at-risk of failure at their current due to reading deficiencies. The primary modes of instruction and monitoring are the Open Court Reading System, LETRS,DIBELS and the Iowa Test of Basic Skills....
