Dear Sirs,

I am a Database Architect and Systems Engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and extensive skills in both computer software and hardware. My strong background with databases such as Postgresql, MySQL and Microsoft's MS-SQL, as well as web based database design skills using ASP, and more recently PHP, are sure to be an asset to your company.

During my tenure as the President of the Medical University of South Carolina's Information Technology Group , I helped guide the IT direction on campus. I have considerable experience managing and modifying legacy "real world" database schemas and have also developed Electronic Medical Record databases for patient clinics to use in their daily practices.
I bring 20 years experience working with computer systems and network operating systems including Windows and Linux. I have previously managed all aspects of a LAN/WAN and Web infrastructure including cabling, switches, routers, firewall, DNS, SMTP mail, SQL databases, and related Web and "front end" applications. My video experience includes the installation, configuration and creation of streaming media servers and conversions of VHS and DVD media to streaming videos for medical students to view on the internet.

I have installed, configured and repaired hundreds of computer systems and server racks at locations as remote as the weapons station in Crane, Indiana. I have written complete documentation for an Electronic Medical Record system and possess excellent communication, typing and presentation skills.

I have excellent teaching, presentation and interpersonal skills and enjoy working with talented people. I welcome the opportunity to discuss and demonstrate some of my work.
