Lead engineer and project manager for multiple teams in the Service Provider Routing Software Group. Delivering applications and infrastructure for Cisco's next-generation operating system for terabit-speed routing platforms ($1bn+ revenue).
- Rapid promotions to noted Technical Leader position through contributions across entire OS program, resulting in multi-million dollar business wins with large Service Provider customers. - Inventorship on five Patents Pending for innovative network management architectures and techniques. - Identified problems with cross-platform features and troubleshooting capabilities that could cost business wins, and lower ROI for customers. Initiated and led efforts to address those issues by creating specifications to introduce common standards, interfaces and code-reuse. Drove implementation discussions with 5 development teams, issue resolution and final sign-off by multiple business units. - Represented business unit and Cisco in emerging IETF NETCONF XML device management standard meetings to align the standardization effort with Cisco's technological capabilities. - Championed quality-improvement through detailed defect escape detection processes, use of tools for programmatic detection of defects, and internal standards documents for emerging features to ensure cross-program consistency and awareness. - Grew responsibilities from leading a single two-man team to three teams with a total of 12 engineers, with additional consulting role for other teams....
