How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?

My dream position would be an opportunity in a stable company that allows me to give 110% and recognizes it I have a passion for data center architecture and infrastructure and I would like to stay in the data center management line of work.

Reorganized as a part of the BAC/Countrywide merger... Level 2 Windows server support for hardware and OS. Working as a nationwide team, I support the windows servers and the data center capacity.

I manage the infrastructure in Texas-based corporate data centers amounting to 40,000+ square feet of raised floor space with HP, Dell, EMC, IBM (p/I Series), NetApp, APC, and Sun IT equipment. I coordinate and approve work on infrastructure equipment from York air, Eaton Liebert/Powerware, and Caterpillar. I act a liaison between corporate facilities and IT to ensure that phase balance, cooling reliability, overall efficiency, and aesthetic appearance of the data center is maintained. I create and enforce enterprise-wide physical access, change control, capacity management, and work safety policies,
I audit power, cooling, and access control for the data centers under my direction. I am currently workin on a project to move a 1300 system, 12,000 Sqft data center to a newer tier III data center. My data centers are Tier I and Tier III rated.

How would you describe your time at Countrywide Financial?

As a part of a team, I supported 1300+ Windows servers in a corporate LAN/WAN environment. I supported the data center infrastructure as a subject matter lead on cooling, power, and rack configuration. I supported Microsoft clustering with up to four nodes in addition to file, print, web, SQL, and home grown application stand alone servers.

I went to a Countrywide sponsored school that taught me what I needed to know about supporting Microsoft operating systems. I learned shills for MCSE, MCDBA, MCSA, and MCT. I chose the MCSE track and completed 4 of the 7 tests before deciding to explore data center achitecture.
