This lab is focused on studying clinical epidemiology, especially of cardiovascular diseases.
During my stay I had the opportunity to learn many aspects of clinical epidemiology, scientific methodology and an overview of biostatistics.

This lab is strongly linked to the clinical disciplines of Neurosurgery and Neurology at Faculty of Medicine, University of S??o Paulo.
Most of my experience there was research using animal models of CNS diseases, specially epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and mechanisms of neuroprotection and
neuroregeneration.
During my stay at this lab, I had the opportunity to publish scientific papers and submit abstracts to international and local congresses.
I have also received two scholarships from FAPESP, a prestigious research foundation in Brazil.

The Epilepsy League provides outpatient medical assistance focused on chronic refractory epilepsy. Additionally, the League has an academic aspect, providing regular lectures and an annual seminar comprising the clinical and surgical aspects of epilepsies.
My internship there was based on
medical assistance for the patients.
