Programme managing the delivery of a significant global legacy change programme, impacting all business units across EMEA on behalf of the steering group.

Providing leadership and direction to the project team with full P&L responsibility for this +13m euro programme, whilst managing the stakeholders and associated communication plan and reporting to the group CIO.

Additionally a member of the group IT management committee, working closely with all business units, global country IT managers and Avis Budget Group in the US.

Responsible for all aspects of IT provision, including strategy, project implementations, and departmental and financial management (??2.5m per annum / 12 direct reports).

Rapidly developed the IT department, moving from a small start up structure to a scalable and efficient team completing significant projects, enabling company turnover to grow in 18 months from ??13m to ??45m.

Following a prolonged period of under-investment, I instigated an extensive programme of change to replace legacy systems with efficient and scalable solutions, including:

Fully transactional .net website.
Content / Pricing management suite.
CRM/Fraud management tools.
Warehouse management system / Finance package 3rd Party Integration
Business intelligence tool.

Played a key part in successfully managing ASOS.com through the Buncefield Oil Disaster in Dec 05 where the logistics operation was significantly damaged in the explosion.... read more
