Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?
My middle school English teacher, Mrs. Norton. I was a very insecure person but a budding writer with a lot of talent. She told me that I was the best writer in the class, so that meant I'd have to work harder to get top grades in her class. She didn't let me coast through school like I had until then, and she made me realize that I must constantly stretch my creative talents in order to grow....
