How would you describe your time at Jott Networks?

Being Jott's first hire as a founding engineer, I owned all of the architectural design and the vast majority of code implementation for Jott Network's initial product release that involved a major database-backed web application with associated peripheral applications. The work included the design of web services, database schema, UI development, account management, administrative tools, as well as voice-based interfaces. My deep industry experience enabled this team to bring up a sophisticated first phase product release in less than three months, the code base being almost entirely of my own work. Along with three other former Microsoft employees, founded OpenDesign, Inc. OpenDesign built intelligent rules-based business routing software, but originally started as a rules-based application framework for consumer applications. I was responsible for building the client-side portion of the code base, recruiting and leading a team of around ten engineers. I managed the client software schedule, trained new recruits, grew engineers from individual contributors to development leads, assisted with patent applications, and provided overall responsibility for delivery of the client portion of the product.... read more
