What are you most passionate about?

When I first started an internship with Panasonic last year, it took me a long time to learn what the working system was like. Maybe it was because I was nervous, or took the work too seriously but I believed that I tried to be more competitive than all the workers in the company. I believe that it is the right attitude to have in life, to strive and be the best person out there. However in this case, this didn't work to the best benefit. Being an intern in a company, this only created friction between regular staff members and I. Many times I got frustrated, because of the incapability of the workers to complete their in the shortest amount of time. This is something that I cannot argue because every company has their unique working culture. I felt the working culture created a barrier that makes workers procrastinate more and be less inefficient when not under supervision.

This did not limit my performance in anyway. I took this as a learning experience and reacted how I would. I took the workers who procrastinate as an example for me - not to follow. I believe that working is a "battle of the fittest". Only the strongest will survive, and if you don't win then you can't survive in the competitive world we live in. No matter where you work, if you dream a dream, and live for that dream then it is possible to make that dream possible.

Although my dreams did not come true, by working as an intern in Panasonic Home Appliances, I have got the opportunity to take a small bite of a sweet and sour apple. Through this wonderful experience interning, I can only fortify myself that business is something I strongly enjoy. The many parts involving business; the meetings, consulting, planning, research, and definitely the business trips are exciting and requires a lot of creativity and thinking. I enjoy the mental challenge it requires as well as the many strategies we have to use in order to penetrate the market.
