Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

Mrs. Nancy Perdue, my high school English teacher. She was strict but very good at teaching her students. She also taught me not to worry about what other people think and to be myself.

Manage three employees while providing quality day care to the Baltimore, Ohio area. Insure that children receive quality care and that proper procedures were followed. Develop activities and meal plans. Maintain records regarding the children as well as the employees.

How would you describe your time at United Parcel Service?

Managed the Labor Relations Office for UPS. Skills acquired were but not limited to: customer service, employee and public relations with District Level Management, as well as District and National Union Representatives, office supply purchasing, disciplinary procedures, report generation, contract re-writing, process grievances, file archiving, event planning, travel arrangements , develop/initiate/schedule and present labor relations seminars and contract administration and ratification in a very fast-paced environment. Other duties included inventory control, training in safety measures, and analyzing/projecting budgetary needs for the District office, as well as the Obetz facility. I completely automated the Labor Relations Office. Also responsible for recruiting, managing and administering of benefits for clerical employees.
