As a Marketing intern, I developed and executed marketing and PR campaigns for Oregon Zoo. This included coordinating press releases, hiring new interns, developing web content, updating the website with current information. I planned and managed events for zoo visitors and for the employees. My work involved creative problem solving, decision making, customer orientation and interfacing with corporate donors. I consulted with a local start up firm dealing in custom-made window shades and beddings in Portland downtown. I got exposed to the market which only catered to the higher strata of the society. My clients dealt in high-end and exclusive window treatment.
