Intern - Tell Me More w/Michel Martin
I brought two conversations from pitch, through pre-interview, booking and script writing to studio. One of these celebrated filmmaker Charles Burnett. I reported a story for Fall 2007's Intern Edition about African-American Republicans. I was photographer on a Veterans's Day pinwheel about homeless veterans recorded in the field. Our piece led the segment and was featured prominently on NPR.org. I co-wrote script for a conversation with Indian filmmaker Mira Nair. Edited the audio for air. I co-wrote web build-out for Sweet Honey in the Rock performance chat. This was showcased in premier of the new music website. Co-wrote several website story run-downs/summaries. I edited several conversations for air. I started out by researching, pitching stories, pre-interviewing guests and running scripts for Michel Martin....
