How would you describe your time at D&B Supply, 1998 to 2005?
I was basically responsible for anything related to a computer.
My server administration duties mostly involved managing Linux servers, and providing services including email (Sendmail and Postfix), database (MySQL), web (Apache), proxy (Squid), webmail (Squirrelmail and Zimbra) and various odds and ends.
On the software development side, I was involved in multiple individual, and team projects. My major achievement was an inventory count and management system which streamlined the yearly inventory process, saving the company thousands of dollars in out-sourced labor. I also designed and developed a check-printing solution for the accounting dept, a transaction processing system to keep sales information synced between remote locations and the corporate office, a lookup program, software for wireless scanner guns, and numerous other utilities....
