What's your dream job?
The job doesn't matter. The people are what matters.
The people I want to work with are, as Paul Graham puts it, the "animals" in their domain. Graham says, "[An animal] is someone who takes their work a little too seriously; someone who does what they do so well that they pass right through professional and cross over into obsessive."
I believe that this describes all of the people I've known who are the best at what they do. In my eyes, being obsessive about one's job should not come at the cost of maintaining life balance, but for people who love their trade to the point of being "animals," doing what they're good at is also doing what keeps them balanced, engaged and happy....
