How would you describe your time at Zama American Middle School?

When I transitioned from Zama American High School to Zama American Middle School it was definitely a change. I had to learn the payroll system and how to run reports regarding the staffing of the middle school. I have created many spreadsheets to track teachers and students here at the middle school and has worked to decrease the amount of email traffic here at the school by creating the student bulletins on the intranet and using hyperlinks to decrease attachments to staff.... read more

How would you describe your time at Zama American High School?

As the registrar for Zama American High School and Zama American Middle School, located on Camp Zama in Japan, it was my responsibility to accurately register an ever shifting population of students while maintaining and preparing outgoing records for over 600 students. A large aspect of this position was prioritizing the needs of others including, but not limited to preparing gate passes for entrance on to a military instillation, working closely with multiple councilors to coordinate vital educational projects, collecting tuition, preparing report cards and compiling transcripts. I also had to quickly learn a new technology when our database system was changed and learned different ways to work around problems that occurred due to the new system that was not piloted before implementation.... read more

With only one course left for my MBA I am very excited to graduate! Due to my move from Japan to Minnesota I will delay my final class start date until the middle of January. With a current GPA of 3.9 I have been working very hard to complete the required readings and type my weekly papers. This program has helped me to become a better listener and a better leader. I hope to use the knowledge gained in my future position.... read more

How would you describe your time at College of Saint Benedict/S...?

Saint Ben's and Saint John's are two small liberal arts schools in northern Minnesota. My four years of school were very challenging, especially while juggling school work and extra curricular activities. Playing intramural volleyball, participating as the Vice President of the school Senate, and being the Secretary of the Math Club kept me very busy. This in combination with my work study program of being a teacher's assistant and math tutor allowed me to work with others and teach. I also minored in Economics and Theology providing me with a well rounded education and a wonderful experience.... read more
