What was one of the biggest lessons you ever learned from being laid off?

Don't wait to get laid off if you can't afford it. If you can afford it, consider why you would stick around for one. The last 3 companies I worked for had layoffs. I left two of them before I became part of the next round. However, I planned to be part of the third company's last wave of layoffs. I had the opportunity to take advantage of a program to go back to school thereby adding to my skillset and finally had enough savings to see me through this plan.... read more
